Some Pictures from my latest trip to beautiful Spain. It covers the sea at Calblanque to the Rolling fields of Castille-La Mancha.
I spent some time at my closest birding spot Edar de Lo Monte or Lagunas de Lo Monte, very Close to Dehesa de Campoamor. The lagoon was constructed in 1989 to take care of the cleaning of water. Up to now I have spotted 78 different species of birds there. You can see some threatend birds like White-headed Duck and Purple Swamphen in the ponds.
Got in Close Contact with a Spectacled Warbler in Saladares del Guadalentín. I parked my car where I saw a Spectacled Warbler were singing from tops of the bushes. At some time it came really Close to me, and I was pleased to get some really nice Pictures of it without disturbing.
Early one morning I Went to the area around Petrola in Casilla-La Mancha. The landscape with its Rolling fields are Amazing. I was looking for Dupont’s Lark – with no success – yet!
Calblanque and – of course – El Hondo were some other places I visited.

Några bilder från mitt besök i Spanien under påskveckan. Som vanlig reste jag runt en del. Bilder från havet vid Calblanque i öster till de böljande fälten i Kastillien-La Mancha i väster.
Tillbringade en del till vid min närmaste fågellokal – Edar de Lo Monte eller Lagunas de Lo Monte, nära Dehesa de Campoamor. Dammarna konstruerades 1989 för att rena dricksvattnet i Pilar de la Horadada. Fram till nu har jag sett 78 olika fågelarter vid lagunen. Det finns några par kopparand och en del purpurhöns – båda hotade.
En tur till Guadalentindalen gav närkontakt med en glasögonsångare. Parkerade bilen där jag såg en glasögonsångare sitta och sjunga i buskarna. Efter ett tag kom den alldeles nära och jag kunde fota den inifrån bilen utan att störa.
En tidig morgon begav jag mig av mot området runt Petrola i Kastillien-La Mancha. Landskapet där är så vackert med sina rullande fält och kullar. Sökte förgäves efter dupontlärkan – bättre lycka nästa gång!
Calblanque och så klart El Hondo besöktes också.
